Insurance and Other Benefit Plans for APWU Retirees

While career employee members of the American Postal Workers Union are eligible for all benefits offered by the Voluntary Benefits Plan while they are actively at work, some benefit programs are available to retirees.

There are two categories of benefits available to retirees: (a) benefits that must be purchased prior to retirement but may be continued after retirement and (b) benefits that may be purchased after the retirement provided the member continues his/her APWU membership.
